Hannah Lindup Photography

Hannah Lindup is a photographer based in York. Her photos have been taken on her many travels, aiming to capture the essence of place, and also of people.

 

These aren’t your typical tourist shots. While some of the locations may be familiar to you, Hannah’s aim is to capture her subjects and their settings in their rawest and purest form, often opting to venture off the beaten track to bring you the ‘true’ versions of the destinations and her own idea of beauty.

 

Black and white is her chosen medium to create a quality of timelessness and add to the mystery of the shots. On a recent long stay in Lisbon, Hannah preferred to work in colour, capturing the vibrance of the city in three series of photos: architecture, people, and buskers, which has recently been featured in Lux Lucet Zine.
